Reclaimed timber furniture

We love wood and as such want our children and grandchildren to enjoy its beauty so we do our very best to buy our wood with the environmental impact at the forefront of our purchases see environmental statement. And following this philosophy we have designed and build our own range of simple yet elegant furniture made entirely from reclaimed timber.

The wider shelves are made from selected "book matched" boards and are joined using biscuits with the face of the joint being hand shot (plained). The main "Housing" joints are routered giving a precise and close fitting construction. The backs are of ship lap which is single nailed to prevent splitting and rebated into the main carcass. Care has been taken to ensure grain consistency through out each piece of furniture. For the general finish we use several coats of Oil. An additional wax finish can be applied on request.
